Here at AFFORDABLE DESIGNATED DD DRIVERS (SkipTheTicket.com) we are a company registered and insured in the Province of British Columbia. We cater to the Fraser Valley, from New Westminster to Chilliwack on the south side of the river and from Port Moody to Mission on the North side of the river.
We provide a safe ride home with a designated driver using extra diligence for our customers in their own vehicles from establishments such as restaurants, bars, banquet halls, casinos, golf clubs, and private events.
With a level 2 first aid certificate we can make special arrangements to provide a safe designated driver ride from hospitals and medical centers as well. If you do not wish to drive your own vehicle for any reason at all, we can ensure you to get a safe ride home with our designated drivers. All our designated drivers are professionals over the age of 25 with clean driving records. So if you’re not able to drive for whatever reason, you can hand over your keys please and we will ensure you will have a safe ride home from our designated drivers.

The terms “designated driver” and “designated driving” (commonly known as DD), refer to the selection of a person who remains sober as the responsible driver of a vehicle whilst others have been allowed to drink alcoholic beverages.
Thus as a practical and ethical matter a designated driver is a person who abstains from alcohol on a social occasion in order to drive his or her companions home safely as an alternative to driving under the influence. In order to encourage these arrangements, some bar, restaurant and nightclub proprietors will offer free or reduced-price soft drinks to designated drivers

FAQ on Designated Drivers service
How does the Designated Driver Service work?
When you call for our service, we will dispatch a vehicle with a designated driver to your location. Our designated drivers will drive you and your guests to your destination in your own vehicle. The other driver will be dispatch to pick up his/her partner at the completion of the ride and drive him/her to her car.
How much does your Designated Driver service cost?
Our rates are as follows;
- From November 1 through Dec 30, our rates will be $40 Dispatch fee + $2.50/km after that.
- Due to high demand, the rates for New Year’s Eve are $75 for the first 10km, and $3/km after that.
- Outside of the holidays, $15 Dispatch fee + $2.00 per km after that.
- When Cars have to wait longer than 5-10 minutes after arriving at pickup time may charge a wait time at a rate of $1/minute.
- There will be a $15 daytime surcharge may be applied for rides that pick up before 6PM.
- Also a $25 long distance surcharge may be applied for rides either beyond West Vancouver or east of Abbotsford.
- For the Pick up after 6PM that are cancelled with less than a 60-minute notice will be charged $30 (including tax) to to credit card used to secure the ride.
- All the Rides before 6PM that are cancelled with less than a 60-minute notice will be charged $50 (including tax) to to credit card used to secure the ride.
- For the services either beyond West Vancouver or east of Abbotsford that are cancelled with less than a 60-minute notice will be charged $50 (including tax) to to credit card used to secure the ride.
- if you are Cancelling a ride with more than an hour’s notice will not result in a charge.

Which areas are covered by your designated driver service?
We will pick you up everywhere from Port Moody to Mission
As far north as Anmore, as far south as the US border, and as far east as Abbotsford or Mission.
We can drive you and your vehicle to areas outside our operational range, but cannot pick up from outside there.
How long should I expect to wait for a designated driver to pick me up?
Planning ahead with a pre-booking is always your best option as you will get priority. We can usually have a vehicle to you within 30-45 minutes. We suggest contacting us at least 30 minutes before you wish to leave your event.
What forms of payment are accepted?
We only accept Credit card payment or E-transfer before yout pick up.
I have a standard transmission on my vehicle. Can your designated drivers operate the vehicle with a standard transmission?
Our designated drivers can operate vehicles with both automatic and manual transmissions.
I require your designated driver services for a specific event. Can I make prior arrangements?
We accept pre-booked rides. Call anytime prior to when you need the designated driver(s) to pick you up and we will ensure your time call has priority and assign a designated driver to you.
I need a pick up from a medical appointment. Can I make a prior arrangement?
Again, please contact us ahead of your required service time. We are always open to making arrangements to accommodate your needs.
Can we make additional stops (i.e. fast food, convenience store, etc)?
Our designated drivers will be glad to make a stop for you. Just keep in mind that there is extra charge for additional stops exceeding 5 min. Any request to stop which exceeds 5 minutes will be charged at $1.00/minute.
How many people can go with me in my car?
You can take one person for each seat belt in your vehicle.
Do you drive someone home if they do NOT have a car?
Yes, we are legally able to provide our service to customers who do not have their own vehicle. Designated drivers in their own cars
